Preparing for College
MPCA’s secondary program includes 7th through 12th grades. Students are challenged both academically and spiritually with a strong course schedule throughout middle and high school. As a small school, MPCA offers the opportunity for teachers to get to know each student on a personal level. A unique benefit available to students here is the availability to seek spiritual guidance and to pray with teachers and other students concerning personal issues. In addition, with smaller class sizes our students have the chance to get valuable one-on-one attention from teachers academically. Several of our recent graduates have gone on to Christian colleges to excel in both academics and athletics. We also have students who have gone on to both local community colleges and state universities with substantial scholarship opportunities. Many other MPCA graduates have shown great success in technical schools, military service, and the workforce. We encourage our students to explore extracurricular opportunities as well. Students may play varsity basketball or volleyball, or they can join the varsity cheer squad. They can strengthen their leadership skills in our Student Council or hone their creative writing skills as members of the Writer’s Club. We have many students compete at regional, state, and even national levels in TACS Fine Arts Competition for areas including piano, photography, painting, drama, and vocal ensemble. In addition, MPCA works closely with Mount Pisgah Baptist Church to offer students the opportunity to go on soul-winning visits in local communities.
Our goal is to provide students with a strong spiritual foundation while encouraging them to become well-rounded and productive citizens in both their present and their future.
